The ESTATE ALBERTO KORDA was established in 2003 with the purpose of investigating, rescuing and promoting the photographic legacy of Alberto Diaz Gutierrez (KORDA), beyond the photos included in the turbulent period of the 1960s that Cubans experienced as a collective epic. This encompasses his advertising work and as a pioneer of fashion photography in Cuba, his true vocation, as well as another type of work of which he was also a forerunner, underwater scientific photography.
The ESTATE ALBERTO KORDA, directed by his daughter Diana E. Diaz López, universal heir to all his work, organizes together with other institutions and galleries, both public and commercial, international exhibitions that cover all facets of the extraordinary career of the renowned and versatile Cuban photographer.
